Terms and Conditions


Customer Campaign

  1. Merdeka Drive Safe Rewards (“Campaign”) is organised by AmGeneral Insurance Berhad (“AmGeneral”).
  1. The Campaign shall commence from 3 August 2020 to 16 September 2020, both dates inclusive unless notified otherwise (“Campaign Period”). AmGeneral reserves the right to terminate the Campaign at any time.



  1. You will be eligible to participate in this Campaign provided the criteria below are fulfilled:
    1. You are a new or existing user of the Kurnia or AmAssurance One Touch App
    2. You have downloaded or updated to the latest version of Kurnia or AmAssurance One Touch App
    3. You have achieved minimum 3,108 points from playing the “Drive Safe” feature available on the app during the Campaign Period.
  1. AmGeneral employees, Agents, Affiliated partners and their family members are not eligible to participate in this Campaign.


How to Earn Points

  1. Users are required to collect points when driving by following the criteria below:
    1. Launch the Kurnia or AmAssurance One Touch App and select “Drive Safe”
    2. Tap on the “Start” button when you start driving. The app will automatically track your journey in the background. Tap on the “Stop” bar once you have ended your trip.
    3. To earn points, the minimum average speed is 10km/h and at least 1km of distance covered.
    4. Every 1km will be awarded with 1 point.
    5. The application will stop running if you make phone calls during your drive.
    6. You will receive Bonus Points if you follow the average speed limit, and Penalty Points if you drive above the speed limit.

    <= 80 km/h 3km 0.1 Point
    > 80 km/h and <= 100 km/h 3km 0.05 Point

    Penalty Points

    Maximum Speed Penalty Points
    >= 110 km/h 25 Points


Campaign Benefits

  1. Eligible winners will be entitled to only ONE (1) voucher per app user. Total voucher giveaway is capped as per table below throughout the entire Campaign Period.

  1. Eligible winners will be chosen by random draw and will be announced fourteen (14) working days after the Campaign ends via Kurnia Facebook Page.
  1. The vouchers will be delivered to eligible winners in the form of SMS to their mobile phone or to their email address registered with AmGeneral during the registration of the Kurnia or AmAssurance One Touch App within one (1) month of the winner’s announcement date.
  2. Winner Announcement Voucher Giveaway Period
    7 October 2020 8 October – 6 November 2020
  1. The vouchers disbursed will be Touch ’n Go Credit, subject to availability and discretion by AmGeneral.


Other General Conditions

  1. You are responsible for ensuring that you have provided accurate information and contact details in order to receive the prizes.
  1. AmGeneral reserves the right to vary the prizes as well as the terms and conditions of this Campaign without any prior notice. AmGeneral may withdraw or discontinue the Campaign at any time without giving prior notice and without incurring any liability.
  1. AmGeneral’s determination of all matters related to this Campaign shall be final and conclusive and in the event of any inconsistency between these Campaign Terms and Conditions and any marketing or promotional materials relating to this Campaign, these Campaign Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
